After the dressage show, I started eating better right away. I dropped about 5 pounds in a week but knew I needed a good fitness program to complement that. I don't particularly love the gym and wasn't seeing the results I needed from that anyhow last year so I hit the internet and got to looking.
I knew my super fit sister used some Beachbody videos and several student workers that have worked for me over the years did well with P90X so I started checking that out. I guess I didn't realize that Beachbody OWNED all those programs (including P90X) so I started comparing them. I also don't watch infomercials so I hadn't heard of all this before but it made sense of what I'd seen on Facebook once I started researching things.
If you haven't looked at them, they're basically a nutrition plan plus exercise plan. After looking at the P90X I knew that was going to be too much for me and the emphasis wasn't on the body regions I really wanted. I also wanted some flexibility things added in and I didn't want to have to learn a whole new diet dealy. So after studying the programs, I decided to go with the 21 Day Fix as it was a similar eating plan to what I normally do (some tweaks of course but nothing I didn't see doing easily) and the workout plan looked reasonable and varied.
The items arrive (along with Shakeology samples) and I got started. The first week was ROUGH and I hurt SO badly but I can see it helping already and hubby is shocked at how effective it's been. Here are my starting pictures so we'll see where we go from here.
